The Honeydo List #5
OK so I know I am day late, but here it is.
If you are not familiar with the Honeydo list check out the previous entries here
Unfortunately this week was not a great one. I finished one of the big jobs but nothing more.
- Weather proof front door. Still half way but I’ll probably be done tomorrow.
- Varnish back door frame.
- Install hatch in ceiling. I needed most of Saturday morning for this.
- Check plug point for obvious problems.
- Replace old style light switch.
- Paint a wall in CJ’s bedroom.
You are probably looking at that list an thinking “Come on Ron! One thing!” But let me tell you that that one thing took 2 showers and 2 complete changes of clothing. Need proof?
I have no idea where that dorky grin came from, and Marla insisted on the photo of my feet (I think she was having nightmares of me walking around the house like that).
It also needs to be noted that the photos were take after we removed an entire black bags worth of what I can only describe as ‘birds nest’. I would have been 100 times dirtier if i did not have the piece of rhino-board I had just removed from the ceiling to shield myself.
And next time you pick up a product from the DIY store that promises “no fuss installation” know this one thing: They lie.
Do any interesting jobs around the house lately?
yeah toss the shirt – it’s junk in any case, lol
just joking hey
I would just like to say thanks Ron, yeah Thanks with a huge sarcastic edge! Kathy is in on this Honeyto list thing. I already have a task to day that Kathy started off giving me as a ‘HoneyDoList’ – HDL, it’s epidemic.
ha ha ha
Hey man! The honeydo list is about creating peace and harmony in a marriage.
Both you and Kathy have to enter into the HDL as an agreement.
It’s about expectations, let’s chat about expectations tomorrow evening
I wonder what the readers think about expectations, Ron?
sych
sorry, I was trying to sound like a news anchor.
Why don;t you pose that question?
P
so you couldn’t have made the trap door before i climbed into your roof to look if you could take that kitchen wall down huh? but just remember that I told you there was like an entire pine tree in your ceiling of without the trunk of course! Looks like it was a lot of fun though!!
I think your HDL is amazing Ron. (And way to go Marla!) Phill you are getting off way too lightly. I am upping my “expectations” with immediate effect! You have been warned!! Dum-dum, dum-dum
To all those wives out there who think this is the greatest ideas, please do take note of how performance has diminished somewhat over the weeks! It started out with a big bang, and by week 5, only 1 task was accomplished!
Don’t get me wrong, I am VERY proud of my husband, and really do appreciate the effort he is making to make our marriage great.
I just had a great idea: maybe we can have a competition, and see which husband is the greatest measured by who accomplished the most tasks in 1 week! Hmmm, I like this idea!!! Who’s with me????
Ok watch out next week for all the stats on the Honeydo list but for now (in response to Marla’s diminished performance comment):
Comparison of items added in a week with the number removed in that same week
Week 1: 4 added 3 removed (removed 75% of what was added)
Week 2: 10 added 5 removed (removed 50%)
Week 3: 4 added 4 removed (removed 100%
Week 4: 6 added 5 removed (removed 83%
Week 5: 0 added 1 removed (Undefined)
That undefined is because you cant divide by 0 but in percentage terms that is an infinite percentage. So actually my performance has gone through the roof in week 5. The down side of that is I can never outperform week 5 does that signal the end of the HDL?
