I fixed it!
The other day CJ came to me in a bit of a state. Nothing too serious, just something that she could not handle by herself.
The shoulder strap on her fake barbie’s dress had broken and She was worried that it was going to fall off.
I wish I could have helped her, but I had her sister sitting on my lap demanding to be fed (you listen to a 6 month old when they make that demand). I think Marla was busy watering the garden, so I told CJ that she should wait till Mommy was done outside and then see if Mom could fix the strap. It just needed a few stitches with a needle and thread.
Much later, CJ proudly walked up to Marla and announced “I fixed it!”
Yes Ladies and gentlemen the strap is now firmly glued to barbies shoulder.
CJ had helped herself. She had located the glue that she and her mom had used to make cards and do other Mom/Daughter crafty things and quite firmly glued the strap down.
You have to give her 10/10 for initiative. Just hope I’m not around when the dress won’t come off! That might need a lot more creativity!
