Single Parent Week – Night 1

I know somepeole have to do it for real for an extended period of time. I am not trying to make light of their situation, but Marla is just leaving on a BA flight for London, so for a little under a week I am a single dad of two gorgeous girls.

I got home from the airport at about 8. 45 min’s after regular bedtime. Hoping for a 1-2-3 everybody in their bed, I gave Cj her toothbrush and, like normal, told her to get rid of all the plaque monsters. 30 mins later and she was still phaffing (how do you spell that?). Alicia was still awake, hardly surprising cause I was trying to get the last bits of of her bottle town her throat, the milk in the bottle not the actual bottle, and I kept shouting at Tina to “brush her teeth”.

Any how now they are both in bed and asleep, I have to prepare bottles for tomorrow and get a load of washing in. Not that that is new for me, but now I don’t have Marla ‘reminding’ me to do it the whole time

Marla was so stressed that I would not be able to handle the girls by myself. but between her lists and my casualness I have everything sorted. Well nearly everything, I have to decide what clothes the girls should put on each morning each day.

Seriously that kind of thing stresses me out.

What would stress you out the most about being left at home alone with 2 girls for the week?
