The things kids say.
We had a good chuckle on the way home from church this morning. The kids in CJ’s class where learning that God made them. So they were exploring things about themselves that make them different from everybody else. So they all got weighed, ad their height measured, spoke about their favorite toys and they favorite foods.
Apparently CJ’s Favorite toy is “pizza man”, not sure where that comes from as we don’t have such a toy at home, but that is not the thing we were chuckling about.
- Marla: Did Xoliswa (CJ;’s small group leader) weigh you?
- CJ: No Uncle Frans did.
- Marla: How did Uncle Frans weigh you?
- CJ: He put me on the whale.
- Marla: On the whale?
- CJ: Yes the whale on the floor.
- Marla: Do you mean the scale?
- CJ: Yes the whale.
I guess the words Weigh and Scale were combined in her mind to become Whale.
Kids are really funny if you take the time to listen.
