Actually I don’t really think this is ‘confession’ material, but every time I think about it I think people will look down on me for this choice. I’ve tried to narrow down the reasons why I feel this way, but it has been tough to put my finger on it.

You see I have always thought of myself as a Rock guy. It was the kind of music I was drawn to as a kid and through my teenage years even though at the time electric pop was mainstream.

Anyway, so I find it strange that 9 times out of ten when I hear a song and I think “that’s a great song” it turns out to be a country song. For some reason I really like country music. And I’m beginning to realize that this is not just a recent thing either, it goes back quite a number of years.

I’m not sure if it is the comfort of the typical country chord progressions, or the propensity for wonderful harmonies. but I really like the sound.
